ABOUT BLACKWING MUSIC
The Blackwing 602 pencil was the pencil of choice for many Grammy, Emmy, Pulitzer and Academy Award winners throughout the 20th century. In 1998, after several corporate acquisitions, it was discontinued, but not forgotten. In fact, fans began paying as much as $40 for a single Blackwing pencil before it was revived in 2010 by Palomino.
Since then, Blackwing has grown from a single pencil into a culture that encourages and empowers creativity in all forms. Blackwing Music was launched as an independent music collective to support and spotlight emerging songwriters in the folk, roots and Americana genres through intimate live performances and studio recordings.
As with all Blackwing products, a portion of every album sold goes to the Blackwing Foundation which funds music and arts education in public schools.
